1) Ready, Set, Go, Flip, Slide
We have found in our Bible club that the Ready, Set, Go, Flip, Slide method of looking up scriptures in a group of children levels the field of experience vs. inexperience.
It is most helpful with our larger group of 3-5th grade kids.
Using this Bible drill method has helped to keep kids who are older or more experienced from showing off and making others feel less equipped. It was sad to see that their skills actually discouraged others in their group from trying - and often those who felt discouraged would become a behavior challenge. As we have continued to use this
method – the first children to accomplish a specific step of the drill have been taught that it is an "honor" to help their teammates.
After all, we are training future leaders!
To get the rest of this "Bible
Game" method of teaching children to look up Scripture, go to our Anytime,
Year-Round Bible Games section at:

2) "Unstick" us
I want to personally thank every contributor to the Sunday School Teacher's website! I hope putting a note in the newsletter will work to accomplish this.
Every time I have been "stuck" for an idea for the children's message at our small church, its only moments on
SundaySchoolNetwork.com and I've found what I needed. I usually spring board off the ideas/sermons/object lessons, etc shared on the site and re-create the message to fit our kids (and my personality). God truly uses every person that contributes to encourage me to share Christ in unique ways with kids!
Thank you, Sarah, for putting this treasure-site together for the world. You encourage us all to share Christ's love by sharing our talents and creativity with one another.
Bless you One and ALL!
Joyfully Serving HIM,
Emmalea Butler

3) SSTN on Facebook or Continue SSTN as is?
Would
you help me make SSTN known to even more people? Go to
our Facebook page and click the "LIKE" link at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/SundaySchoolNetworkcom/80356143615
Invite your friends too!
I am considering discontinuing the newsletter in this format and replacing it with a
Facebook Discussion forum. Partly because social media may be a more viable
way to connect, but also keeping this forum is more costly and donations are
down due to the economy.
What do you
think, keep SSTN like it is or move to the more current way to connect? I'd love your
feedback on this.

4) Ten Commandments Dice Game
SSTN has the greatest way to learn and teach the 10 commandments! I am SO in love with this method!!!
I came up with a game using dice to reinforce and practice God's Laws. This game was introduced to our after-school Bible Club last week. The leaders and kids LOVED the game! It was amazing to look across the cafeteria and see and hear 68 kids and about 20 leaders showing the commandment hand gestures and reciting GOD's 10 commandments! SSTN has provided a way for everyone to keep the 10 commandments literally on our fingertips to help us in our lives! THANKS SSTN!!!
