Seeing God In Everything

Youth Ministry Bible Game | For Jr & Sr High +

"But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it" Matthew 13:16-17.

Materials needed
Various items such as a sink strainer, magnifying glasses, a small plunger, key chain, etc., and a large bag or basket.

How To Play
Fill a bag with 10-15 items depending on the length of time for your Bible study and the number of people. Ask several volunteers to come and pick an item out of the bag. Do not let them peek in the bag. After everyone has selected an item, give them a few minutes to think about how God is like the object or how you can see a Biblical truth in the object; then allow them tell their idea. (You can also have participants work in teams.)

For example: One of the kids picked the sink strainer and said that God filters out the dirty stuff and makes sure you have only what you need. One child picked out the magnifying glasses and said, "God helps us to see things we cannot see with our own eyes."
