1) Christian pen pals reply to Vicky

>If you feel your sunday school would like to embark on this opportunity
>then email me. Vicky - Full Gospel Benoni South Africa,
vickyv@easirun.co.za

Our AWANA group at our church would like to be pen pals with your kids. If
you would like to do this email me at FranklinStreetAWANA@msn.com I tried
to email you but it came back.

2) Ladies meetings?

I am looking for ideas for women's fellowship with a game, favors, and
decorations that all share a common Christian theme or Bible study.
Can you give me any ideas?  We have a monthly meeting, so I need lots of
ideas.
Thank you.  Karen

--from SSTN: type the word "ladies" into the archives search box to read

3) Poor Sunday School attendance

> Our Sunday school attendance (both children & adult) has been down and
> going further for about 2 yrs now.

I might would change the approach of your questions. I would not respond
to an "essay" type response but if you provide them with possibilities to
check off, you might get more responses. Essay questions put people on the
defensive of having to explain and for some people, that is very hard. Why
not ask them what they are looking for in Christian formation? What type
of classes would appeal to them, (lectionary based, issue based, Christian
parenting, etc.). Think way out of the box on your suggestions and then
leave room for them to respond. You might even get them to suggest leaders
for the programs. Also ask them who they respect in the church. That
person could be a drawing card.

4) Pen Pals

I teach our church's Wed night kids program, which is "traveling" around
the world by earning miles. I'd like to have some people from other
countries write to our class & tell a little about where you live, your
culture, etc. I'd love to get a few pen pals from around the world. If
anyone is interested, please e-mail me at jlhart76@hotmail.com.
Thanks in advance.

Jen

God's Top 10 - Understanding God's Love In The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments contain many "Do Nots". They teach us God’s holy
standard and show us how far we fall short of his perfection. But they are
more than this; in these "Do Nots", I believe one can find a positive
message: a message of God’s love. (For Kindergarten to 5th grade)

5) Children's activities during church? -Attn: Carrie

Carol, I have been doing the activity bags for our church....
How were the items that the kids could keep marked? What type of bags do
you use?  Also, if the bags you use are paper, do the children cause lots
of noise when opening and closing the bags during the service?
In His Service,
Gracie

--from SSTN: we use canvas bags in our church. This past summer the kids
painted them with their own hand prints (lesson from the Psalm Series in
the site: http://www.christiancrafters.com/sermons.html  )

6) Miracles of Jesus?

I have been trying to teach on the miracles of Jesus, but I haven't been
able to find any good websites with  lessons. Could anyone help me?  I
have found  pictures for this but not lessons. I teach 7 to 9 year olds.
Thank you for  any help  or ideas you can give. Email me at

7) Pumpkin Carving with a Christian Theme

Hi !  This is a long article for an entire lesson basically but has a
great pumkin carving lesson that I am going to use also. There's a
pumpking felt story and prayer, etc.

Quickly, it is a normal pumpkin on the front. You tell a story in which
you put the pieces back in the pumpkin's face so that his "light goes out"
and then you turn it around and on the back a cross is carved and you see
the pumpkin's light didn't really go out because Jesus was with him the
whole time.

Here's the link.
http://www.christiancrafters.com/pumpkin.html

I will be teaching 3-4 yr olds so I will have the pumpkin already cut out
and have a flashlight inside.
