1) Patterns for paper flowers:

>looking to decorate a different tree that represent what Jesus did for
>us. We are looking for patterns to make different types of paper flowers.

What about creating flowers using Coffee filters. Place two round filters
together. Pinch the center of the filters together, wrap with a pipe
cleaner to hold together, this becomes the stem. Draw the outer edges of
the filter up to form a flower. Dip a paint brush into water colors and dab the
outer edges of the flower. Allow the paint to flow into the filter. You
could even use the 'Colors of Christ' for each flower and day.
ie. black=sin, red=His blood shed, white=sins washed away, etc. You can
read more about the colors of Christ along with the Bible verses in my site
under Craft Showcase. Check out the 'Colors of Christ Cross'.

2) Building Nazareth

> I would like to have something Biblically (or at least historically) based
> around how carpenter shops where in those days and some lesson

The Bible displays at Eureka Springs Arkansas include a full scale mock-up
of a New Testament carpenter's shop. I have a royalty free picture of it on
my web site at: http://ebibleteacher.com/eureka.html

Hope this helps!

3) Building Nazareth

> I would like to have something Biblically (or at least historically) based
> around how carpenter shops where in those days and some lesson

You may want to take a look at "The Time of Jesus", by Lois Rock, published
1999 by Lion, ISBN 07459408402 @$13. While this book does NOT have any carpentry projects, it does have some activities and suggestions that would make your presentation more interesting and authentic, and may help you create the atmosphere which you desire. Have fun! Jen in Ga.

--From ChristianCrafters.Com: you can find this book in my bookstore. Just use the following full title: "The Time of Jesus: Crafts That Recreate Everyday Life" and copy it into the BN Search box on the Bookstore main page to access it.-- Sarah K.--

4) Saul on the Road

We just did this lesson. It was actually about Jesus being the light of the world.
Saul was not only blinded physically by the bright light but was also blinded
to the truth about Jesus being the promised Savior. We played pictionary
using words that were related to light such as: light bulb, flashlight,
match, torch, etc. For a craft we used black paper, stencils and
milky pens to draw on the black paper.

5) Twelve Disciples

Check out: http://www.bible.org for many free Bible lessons.
They might have something on the disciples.

Also, there is a book in my Bookstore entitled, "Jesus' Twelve Disciples".
You can find it in the 'Bibles, Etc.' section of my site.

6) Saul on the road

> I am going to be discussing Paul's unique road experience this coming
> week and am drawing a blank of something to do.

Dear Dinah,
Check out this site, www.edupatterns.com. There are 6 lessons on the life of Paul which include stories from his life and action games to go with each. They are lessons 47 - 52. You access them by going to the Free Bible Lessons Page and from there to the page marked Spring Quarter. Blessings,
