1) Daniel and the Lions Den craft
In response to the Daniel and the Lions Den craft, I just finished teaching a VBS class with that theme. I had 4 and 5 year olds so I am not sure if they are age appropriate, but my kids loved making lion heads out of paper plates. I drew the face in the center and let the kids take short pieces of construction paper, wrap it around a pencil to make it curl and glue it to the outside edge of the plate. After they got all the way around they had a curly mane on their lion. I also found a picture of a lion and photocopied it. Then I punched holes on the sides and the eyes. I tied string to the side hole and made a mask. They all got to practice their roars, and then got to show everyone how God closed their mouths when Daniel was in their den. Hope that helps a little!

2) 15 - 17 yrs old
<< Our group is 15 - 17 yrs old and I'd love some neat ideas for this older bunch on any topic as we are rather new to this. >>
I have found Music to be a great resource for young adults: Ask them to listen to their music at home and see if any songs can be about Jesus. (a lot of music if you think of Jesus as the person they are talking about gives a new spin to the music). Then have them bring it in and discuss why they feel that way and do others in the group thinks so too. Then go deeper and ask if any passages in the bible have some of the same meaning.

3) Help with older kids
I found a great site pastor2youth.com which I have used several times for
our Youth Group. It has all kinds of stuff. Hope it helps.

4) Curriculum
Hi Dennis:
I have found Gospel Light to be quite fun. For a free catalog of resources
call 1-800-4-GOSPEL. I believe they are on the internet but can't remember
their web site address.
Hope this helps. They have awesome stuff that I have found to be terrific
and the kids love the skits, games, activities and lessons from the
resources I have already purchased.
Good luck.

5) Daniel and the Lions Den craft
This one is for younger children. Get a white paper plate, the thin ones
with the fluted edges work well. Draw or have them cut out bits of paper to
make the lion's face on the inside of the plate. Add two bits of black
wool to make whiskers and glue under nose. Cut the edge of the plate
towards the middle following the "fluted" lines to make mane. Or instead of
cutting the edge, let them glue yellow/orange/brown wool bits to make the
mane. Glue or staple to a large popsicle stick (tongue depresser size) and
you have a lion's mask.

6) Internet projects

7) Two-level puppet stage
<< Can anyone help me out with the instructions on building a two-level puppet stage that can be transported. >>
You might try doing a search on "One Way Street Puppets". It is a company that has a large selection of both puppet supplies and patterns for making items needed for puppet shows.
If that doesn't give you anything specific, my daughter was on a puppet team and they used PVC pipes mounted on wood that could be taken up and down to make a puppet stage. Feel free to email me at Lagulin@aol.com if you want and I will get you in touch with the person who built it.
