1) Cutesy Crafts

>but I'd like to see more about how the Lord
>has lead these ministers to reach His children instead
>of how many ways to make tongues of fire.

Just a comment about this comment:

Jesus, teacher par excellence, used many different, innovate ways of
teaching his followers.   He told funny stories, made extreme
comparisons, used visual aids such as "consider the lilies of the
field", etc.as well as serious discourses.   And what could have been
more dramatic, less calm, than the day of Pentecost!    (There are of
course dozens of other dramatic stories throughout the Bible which have
been perserved and retold for centuries to engage the attention of
people to a deeper truth.  Children learn through life experiences,
their own and other peoples, and they all learn a little differently.
At one time children learned by being beaten until they became "perfect"
- I hope that time is gone forever.   I for one am glad that I had  the
opportunity (and I am 64 years old) not only of learning formally and
seriously about the love of God and the saving grace of Jesus but also
through many and varied experiences, some "entertaining, energising and
exciting", through "crafts, games and gimmicks", some "calm and
meaningful", to absorb the truth and own it for myself .

5) Trinity and Ice Cream?

Sometime ago I found a yummy lesson for teaching the mistery of Holy
Trinity -Napolitan Ice Cream: Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry. And I
remember that each flavor "represents" one Divine person. I can not find
it any more. If some body could help me on this, I will really appreciate
it.
Thank you
God Bless

6) Women's Ministry Bell Skit?

Hi. I am looking for a skit to do at a Women's Ministry Banquet. I
recently attended a conference where the ladies did a skit pretending to
be young children in a bell chior preparing for a performance. It was
hilarious! Has anyone done one similar? I'd like some ideas on how to
prepare one. Thanks and God Bless!

8) India Missions Ideas?

After listening to Caedmon's Call's latest CD, I think it would be fun to
do a missions emphasis on India and the untouchable (Dalit) peoples.

I know there are a lot of creative Sunday School teachers out there!  Any
ideas for decorating my classroom, crafts, or snacks?  We would be
learning about India from information on the Dalit Freedom Network
website, and Voice of the Martyrs.

Thanks, you guys!
