1)
Christmas Giving

With the Christmas season coming up, how about encouraging children to bring their praises to class and put them on a tree, or decorate Christmas praises in class to put them on the tree at home?

Jesus is the greatest gift.
God so loved, he gave.
God gave the shepherds an angel.
Wise men bring gifts, because of Jesus.

RB

--from SSTN: love this idea! You could also distribute pre-cut card stock paper shapes such as angels, doves, crosses, etc. for children to write their praises onto.

2) Pilgrim & Indian Finger Puppets

This is a quick and easy craft you can download today. Your kids will love making them on Thanksgiving! And, you may print as many patterns as you need! Check it out at: http://www.sundayschoolnetwork.com/curriculum_puppets.html

3) Combined Classes

We use combined classes and have been for 6 years now. IT'S AWESOME! We use a program called Rotation. With this program we are able to teach kid's at all levels. Our kid's range from PreK to 6th grade and the cool part of combining is seeing the older kid's help the younger kids and the younger kids having a role model! The favorite workshops we use are Science, Cooking and Art! Games are becoming much more popular now! Rotation can be found at www.rotation.org and they have over 1,500 lesson sets posted FOR F-R-E-E! Just thought I would share... will hopefully be rotating for many years to come!

8) Oldie-Wed Game?

Hello,

I was wondering if you know where I could find the "Oldie-Wed Game"? Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Yours in Christ,
Valerie

--from SSTN: since its played similarly to the Newlywed Game, you could use questions from it. You can find it in our affiliate bookstore by typing the title into the search box at: http://www.sundayschoolnetwork.com/bookstore.html
Or, make up your own questions, ie. "Where'd you go on your first date?", "Who said 'I love you' first?", "What's your mother-in-law's middle name?", "Favorite dessert?", etc. You could also gather two questions from each of your senior adults beforehand.

9)
Senior High Games & Activities

Just wanted to let folks know that at www.thesource4YM.com there is a section with games/icebreakers/discussions, etc, all free for the using. There’s even a section where you can set your criteria for a game or activities: ie inside or outside, how many people, have props or no props, large space or small space, etc. I have used it many times, with a few adaptations, and even used some of their ideas to create SILLY ON SUNDAY, my own version of Wild Wild Wednesday by Theda Morrow (who helped us get started), during the summer! Check it out! Especially if you’re working with Teenagers!
