Greetings to all!
I love reading all your wonderful ideas.
My beloved and I are teaching 3-5 years olds the Betty Lukens felt lesson # 23 Joseph's Brothers Go to Egypt. The story is where they travel to Egypt to buy food but they do not recognize Joseph but he recognizes them. Joseph send them home to bring Benjamin back. Joseph tests his brothers by giving Benjamin more food than the other but the brothers still treat Benjamin kindly.
Can you help with any craft ideas so the children will remember the lesson?
Blessings from the little farm,
Jenny

Selfishness spoils love and discontent spoils joy;
anxiety spoils peace
and impatience spoils longsuffering;
a bitter word spoils gentleness
and slothfulness spoils goodness;
doubt spoils faith and pride spoils meekness;
and love of pleasure spoils self-control!

Here's a rocket craft I helped a friend do with Vacation Bible School
kids a couple of years ago:
Each child needs a rectangular sponge, an empty plastic film container w/
cover, and 1/2 of an alka-seltzer tablet.
Snip corners off one end of the sponge to give your rocket a pointy top.
Cut a slit in the bottom of the rocket big enough to wedge the film
canister in (cover side out). Decorate with stickers. Take the rockets
outside, give each child 1/2 of an alka-seltzer tablet, and let them put
a bit of water and their tablet in the film container "exhaust pipe", cap
it, and put it on the ground. The rockets really "blast off."

> any new ideas for teaching the fruit of the spirit?
** A GREAT book that I used to teach the fruits of the spirit was:
"Pre-school Christian Value Lessons by Kathy Darling . It has each of the
fruits of the spirit to teach with a giant fruit cut-out, a craft, a poem
of some sort, a game or recipie, more ideas, and other resources listed.
It is fabulous and I am sure that you could order it off of
http://www.Amazon.com. I hope you like it. I wish I could share with you
some simple ideas, but it would be too long to share it:0( This book
covers it all! May God give you wisdom in knowing what and how to teach
these!

> Can anybody help me out with teaching a basic form of intercessory prayer
> to my children.
** I remember when my mom taught us to pray she had us use our "fingers".
For instance, the pinky was to pray for "little children", the ring
finger was to pray for "couples", the tall finger was to pray for those
who are in leadership, the pointer finger was for, um, I can't really
remember that one but it could be for asking God to help you "point"
people twards Him and the Gospel, and lastly is the thumb, which you
notice bends back twords YOU! We can humbly ask God anything that is on
OUR hearts! Hope this helps, I know it isn't exactly and "outline" of a
prayer but close to. I always remember to start my prayers with
Thanksgiving, Confession, Petition, and the Closing of once again
thanking Him for all He has done and will do and telling Him how much we
love Him!
**Could ANYONE PLEASE tell me where I could find a BUFFALO rubber
stamp??????????? OR, order one of the internet???????? I would REALLY
appreciate it if anyone knew where they would have this rare animal on a
rubber stamp! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I ordered the snail book that one of you recommended. I look forward to
reading it to the kids I teach. THANK YOU for your help. If anyone has
any other snail craft, please share! GOD BLESS!
