1) Media Release Form

I googled, "Children's Ministry Release" and "Children's Ministry Consent Form," both keyword searches turned up excellent samples that various churches have posted online.

2)
Giver or Taker? How Do You Measure Up?

Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure--pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return." (Luke 6:38)

In Jesus' day, when grain was purchased it could be poured into a pocket on a person's outer garment, then shook and pressed down to make room for more grain. (Unlike today, our boxes of cereal and bags of chips indicate they were full at the factory, but "settling occurred in transport," which means we don't get a full box or bag!)

Jesus wants his followers to understand that we should give freely of our time, talents and abilities; we will not be outdone by God. Are you always looking to see what you can get out of something? If so, then you're a Taker. But if you have your mind and heart alert to how you can become part of a solution to a problem, or how you can contribute to the needs of others--by giving of your time, talent, and energy, then you're a Giver.

We are measured by our own standard of giving or taking.

A great resource for summer camps, VBS, and after-school Bible clubs!

4) The U in Jesus

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son..

And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.
You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.

And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?

The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
And this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth at His Upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.

"Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U."

So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?

It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know,
But it all starts with U.

5) Teaching a Disabled Child?

Good day, I was moved to teach an 8 year old child with learning disabilities due to slow growth in her school's work. Please do you have any suggestions on how to do this? Thank you and God bless you.

--from SSTN: ask the child's parent(s) and teacher(s), so you know where she needs help, and then ask them for direction.
