1) January Theme: FUNday SCHOOL!

Make January the month of "FUNday School!" Each week during January, for the New Year, play a Bible-Based game. You could even combine the classes to 'up the excitement'! Promote your FUNday school by sending flyers home, or invitations to friends in the community, as well as placing posters around the church. (There are many great games to use for free on the Bible Games page. I just added a few new ones!) Blessings, Sarah Keith - Your Moderator - www.ChristianCrafters.Com

Here's a fun quiz: Read these words, what do they say? "Pill Are Offs Halt." Do you "hear" the answer? Keep saying them until you can hear: 'Pillar of Salt' (From Genesis 19:25-26) "It's not what you say, it's what you hear!" when you play 'Bible Mad-Gab'. For more fun challenges like this, get Bible Mad-Gab, or other great Bible-based games in the GameStore at ChristianCrafters.Com!

3) Many thanks

Many thanks to the SSTN and to Faith Scott for her skit "The Real Story". I am co-director of a very small group of youth. We attend a church where almost everyone is family. We have had a recent illness in the family and have not had the time to prepare for a long Christmas program.. I found Ms. Scott's skit and showed it to the other director, we incorporated it with the children we had and it worked very well.. I want to thank you so much for sharing this. God will truly bless you for you kindness.
Your Sister in Christ, Kara-WV

5) What a blessing

I just wanted to say what a blessing this site has been to me. I told our grade school music teacher about the ideas of Santa bowing before the manger or cross (this was in 1 or 2 issues) ,and we put it in our school skit for the public! We live in a small town. The response has been great! Thanks! Stephanie Fixico - Oklahoma

6) MANY, MANY THANKS!!!

This newsletter is the best thing ever!!! I have been blessed so many times by the ideas from everyone and I have continued the blessings by telling everyone about the website and sharing the ideas. We just finished our Christmas Program and used the idea "The Friendly Beasts" sung by Garth Brooks. I didn't know until
now that this song is actually in our Methodist Hymnals, but, we have never sung it. It took some imagination to come up with the animal costumes (we are just a small country church). It was one of the sweetest programs we have ever done with little work. The children enjoyed it and the congregation thought it was great.
I added some other hymns during the reading of the Christmas story and Mary and Joseph came in, which added to the program. Again, thanks so much to everyone for your ideas. Sue Mayo, Crewe, Virginia

7) The Candy Maker's Witness

Greetings in the name of the Lord. My name is Donna and I happened to have read the newsletter in which someone was looking for a poem etc for Christmas or the New Year. Well, I think this might be something to share as I know that we all who have read and shared it at my church were!! It is called The Candy Maker's Witness. This is how it goes: A candy maker in Indiana wanted to make a candy that would be a witness, so he made the Christmas Candy Cane...(you can get the rest of this story in the Children's Sermons section at ChristianCrafters.Com)... God Bless You, Donna.

8) Jesus is his name-o

> J-E-S-U-S and Jesus is his name-o...
I saw this song on a web site, very recently, but > now is gone.....If someone else knows where it is...

I am way behind on my email so you may have received an answer to this by now, but the version I know is:

"God our Father has a Son and Jesus is His name-o,
J-E-S-U-S, J-E-S-U-S, J-E-S-U-S, and Jesus is His name-o"

It is sung to the tune of B-I-N-G-O and each time you omit a letter and clap instead until you are just clapping the letters of Jesus' name.

I have deleted a lot of my mail unread (my dh has been looking for a preaching position since November so we've been out of town) but I have saved every one of yours. I really enjoy them and am keeping ideas for next year. Thanx for doing such a great job!
Rebecca Mosher
