1) Tongues of fire

You could have a set of cardboard people standing together, then have a
fan blow them down ( simulating the great wind), then have a cardboard of
flames behind it, then have that come down, then have another set
of the exact same cardboard people but put word balloons with different
languages in it attached to their mouths.

2) Seven days of creation

I am not sure where i got this idea but I made creation dice/cubes...You
take either orange juice cardboard containers or cracker boxes and cut
them up to make a dice...then for each of the 6 sides you let them color
or draw or paste or write what was created on that day...then you can use
it as a discussion piece..ie, let them roll the dice and them talk about
what happened on that day...why is it important to our existence?...(I
found the link...for creation
dice/cube...www.mssscrafts.com/crafts/creationdice.htm )

3) Wise Man Costume Problem?

Hi, I need very quick help. My church is having it's first Christmas play
in 16 years on Sunday. We have 3 adult men who are wise men. However, two
of the men do not have costumes, nor bath robes. Do you have any
suggestions on a quick, easy, costume for wise men that will not cost a
lot of money. Our church is not covering any expense for the costumes, so
the cheaper the better. Also, our dress rehearsal is tomorrow night,
(Friday) and I would love to go in with a great idea. Thank you in advance
for any help you can offer.
Love in Christ,

5) Tongues of fire

Why not use flash paper (available from stores that sell illusions). You
light it and it burns up quickly. We used it in Ss as tongue of fire.

6) Christmas under attack

Sarah,

Actually, if we would only give gifts of love and time and charity, it
truly would be the CHRISTmas spirit wouldn't it.  Maybe than, people might
see our Christian beliefs put to use.  I'm afraid materialism wins out
over Christianity too many times.  What a truly beautiful Christmas it
would be if we really only celebrated the amazing gift from God (salvation
through His Son) and not how much we could spend on family and friends.
How much more would those who don't know Jesus see Him if we were as
concerned for them as were are about buying the right gift for our own
family.

7) Desperately Needing Prayer!

My husband and 2 of our four children were involved in a horrific
drunk-driving accident on December 13.  My kids are badly banged up, but
all right.  My husband, however, sustained multiple traumas and is still
in critical condition at a hospital an hour away.  It is a miracle that
any of them survived, but especially my husband.  I can clearly see all
the good that God is working through this seemingly senseless situation;
but I do ask that you pray for his complete recovery, for my family's
strength, and especially that I will be lifted up and that I can be strong
and faithful for everyone during this difficult time.

Have a Merry Christmas, hold your loved ones close, tell that that you
love them.  And especially, appreciate the blessings that God has granted
you.  Cherish every moment!

In Christ, Heidi/NY  <(((><

8) Christmas under attack

Hello Sarah,

I just read your commentary about boycotting retail next Christmas and I
have to say in my own little way I have. I go to mainly Christian stores
or Christian owned companies to buy almost everything. They are hard to
find sometimes but worth it. I also do a lot over the internet. After
reading the email I thought of an email my mother sent me just last week
and I thought I would share.

Have a blessed day and Merry Christmas!

                              THE LAW IS THE LAW

So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the
words "under God" to be on our money,
   then, so be it.

And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not
to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.

And since they already have prohibited any prayer in the schools,   on
which they deem their authority,  then so be it.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people
than I are in positions to make good decisions.

I would like to think that those people have the American Publics' best
interests at heart.

BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot Post His
Commandments in Government buildings,
I don't believe the Government and it's employees should participate in
the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our
government is eliminating from many facets of American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving &
Easter. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good
Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays.
After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to
worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all ~ it's just
another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my tax payer dollars could be saved, if all
government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday &
Easter.

It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other
day of the week to a government that is  trying to be "politically
correct".

In fact....I think that our government should work on Sundays
(initially set aside
for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it
should be just another day....

   What do you all think????
If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will
stop giving in to the minority opinions and begin, once again, to
represent the majority of ALL of the American people.

SO BE IT...........Please Dear Lord, Give us the help needed to keep
you in our country! Amen and Amen.
