I Came to Draw Men

Christmas Salvation Poem

"For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost" Luke 19:10 (KJV).

I came as a baby
I planned it that way
I came to draw men
Not to frighten them away
The wooden sides of the manger
Where my tiny hands lay
Were a glimpse of the cross
And the price I would pay

I came as a baby
For I wanted to say
I came to draw men
Not to frighten them away
Later in life on the shores of the sea
I walked with compassion
My grace flowing free
I extended my hands Fear not I would say
I came to draw men
Not to frighten them away

Up to Golgotha
The cross in my hands
The Ultimate Sacrifice Fulfilling God’s plan
For the hammer and nails
I extended my hands
I purchased salvation for every man

You must now believe me
When you hear Me say
To now enter heaven
I AM The Only Way
Ask Me to save you
I will do so today
I came to draw men
Not to frighten them away
