What's the BIG Idea?

Learn to Share Your Faith!

Have you wanted to share your faith, but didn't know what to say or how to say it?

Sharing one's faith can be rather scary, but it doesn't need to be. The "BIG Idea" is a simple way to talk about your faith. By memorizing these three BIG points and their corresponding Scripture verses, you will lay the ground work in your mind for speaking about your faith in a meaningful way!

So what exactly is the BIG Idea?

B = BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. . . (Acts 16:31). The Bible says even the demons believe, yet they are not God's children. So what does it mean to "BELIEVE"? Believe what?

To believe in God means you trust in him to save you. It is understanding that your own good works cannot make you right with God. Jesus died to pay the penalty for your sins, so you can have a relationship with him here and now and live with him in heaven for eternity. (See: James 2:19, Ephesians 2:8-9, and Romans 6:23)

I = INVITE Jesus into your life, turn away from your sins, and allow God's word to INDWELL you. Jesus said, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in. . ." Revelation 3:20. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

G = GO "tell the good news to everyone" Mark 16:15.

These Bible verses represent the beginning of sharing your faith.

May God bless your BIG opportunities!
